FDM is a great technique to get some prototypes done, to try a few things at home and have fun with. If it will ever produce objects of the quality required to make a marketable product is yet to be seem. Recently we saw the release of CLIP with Carbon3D and now Gizmo 3D Printers making an adaptation to the original DLP techniques. These 2 companies seem to come up with a very viable and vast solution to produce great quality objects that are really marketable.
